The Equacooker Surge Bin is designed to regulate the feeding of pre-broken raw material into continuous cookers, ensuring steady and controlled material supply to the cooking process.

Constructed from 10 mm thick steel plate, the bin features a sloping side design and incorporates “U” trough screw casings that extend to the cooker’s low-level feed screw chute. This configuration ensures reliable material transfer and controlled feed rates.

The bin is fitted with twin Ø400mm screws with varied pitch to manage the movement of raw material effectively. Screw shafts are supported by spherical roller bearings housed in plumber block assemblies and sealed at the bin using packed type glands. Drive systems are selected to suit the operational requirements of the installation.
