The Disc Dryer is designed primarily as a drying unit but can also be configured to operate as a continuous cooker for suitable materials. While it is generally less efficient as a cooker than the Equacooker range, it is preferred by some processors for applications using dry cooking methods.

The unit incorporates a positive condensate removal system using a rotary closed-loop design. This system prevents the accumulation of condensate and non-condensable gases within the discs, ensuring efficient heat transfer and stable operation.

The design exceeds AS1210 code thickness requirements and is manufactured in full compliance with the standard. The finished vessel carries the appropriate pressure vessel code stamping for a working pressure of up to 900 kPa. The Disc Dryer/Cooker is available in a wide range of capacities to suit different processing requirements.
