The Over Batch Cooker Bin is designed to store broken raw material and discharge it efficiently to a dry rendering batch cooker as required, ensuring consistent and controlled loading of the cooking process.

The bin is fabricated from 6 mm thick mild steel plate and incorporates one sloping side leading to a rolled vee bottom to promote smooth material flow. A “U” trough screw casing extends approximately 600 mm from the bin and is fitted with a charging chute to facilitate controlled transfer of material.

The bin is equipped with a Ø400mm screw with a varied pitch to regulate material movement. The screw shaft is supported by a spherical roller bearing housed within a plumber block and sealed at the bin with a packed type gland to prevent leakage. Drive arrangements are selected to suit the specific application. Twin discharge screw configurations are also available for materials with lower flow characteristics.
