Airless Drying

An alternative to conventional air drying, Airless Drying utilises Superheated Steam as the drying medium. The major benefit of Airless Drying is that Superheated Steam has heat transfer properties superior to air at elevated temperatures. The removal of oxygen from the drying process also creates unique environmental and operational benefits.

The Airless Drying process uses Superheated Steam at temperatures above 250°C (482°F), whilst maintaining atmospheric pressure throughout a self contained, sealed, airless environment. The process requires significantly less support from odor control systems and is safe to use in volatile environments, minimizing the risk of explosion and fire.

Keith has Airless Dryers installed in the United States, Western Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, drying a range of products, including pet food, rice, raw poultry products, grain/seed and meat & bone meal.
