Decanter Centrifuges
Two phase continuous decanter centrifuge for the separation of solids in suspension.
How it works...
The two components are a hollow bowl rotating in a horizontal plane and an internal helical conveyor rotating at a slightly slower speed through an epicyclic speed reducer. Liquid is introduced into the rotating bowl through a fixed feed tube and forms on the inner wall where the solids present become compacted by the centrifugal force. The compacted solids are continuously discharged by the helical conveyor and clarified liquid passes through adjustable ports in the end plate. Port settings are adjusted to maintain a level of liquid in the bowl which offers the best dryness of solids and clarification of liquid.
